Pooch Party: Somerville Dog Festival Returns In September
Bring Fido to Trum Field for an afternoon of food, games and fun contests.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The Somerville Foundation for Animals' Somerville Dog Festival returns for its eighth year next weekend. The event will take place Sunday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Trum Field, 541 Broadway. Dogs must be well-mannered, leashed and up-to-date on their vaccinations in order to participate.
Somerville Dog Festival (or SomDogFest for short) features best trick and best dressed contests; agility, weight-pull and nose-work tests; tips and training; food and activities; and the Fairy Tails Theater for budding thespians.
The event is free, though donations are suggested for some activities. The aim of SomDogFest is to educate and promote healthy, happy pet-owner relationships while raising funds for animals in need.
