About Prospect Hill Academy
Founded in 1996, PHA is one of the oldest and largest tuition-free public charter schools in Massachusetts. Located on four age-appropriately designed campuses in Somerville and Cambridge, the school serves nearly 1,200 students in grades K to 12 from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
With a mission to prepare each student for success in college, inspire a lifelong love of learning, and foster responsible citizenship, PHA is unapologetically a college preparatory school. From Kindergarten on, we focus on teaching our students the academic knowledge and skills and the social and emotional competencies required to succeed in college and beyond. The result: over 95% of PHA graduates enroll in college, many being first in their families to do so.
