The Boston Red Sox currently have more than one third of their players earning at or near the minimum major league salary. Since the team's payroll is going down, it is time for them to lower their ticket prices. They currently have the highest ticket prices in all of baseball. It is outrageous that they are charging major league ticket prices for a minor league team. And they will be adding more minor leaguers before the season is over. Certainly Henry Owens and Will Middlebrooks will be called up along with some of their teammates from Portland and Pawtucket.
While it can be nice to watch the future Red Sox stars, it is wrong to have to pay major league ticket prices to do so.
