Restaurant Replacing Short-Lived Somerville Eatery
A restaurant that opened this past spring has closed, and another one is moving in.
SOMERVILLE, MA – A restaurant is moving into a Union Square space that most recently housed a short-lived Indian eatery. Masala Square is set to open in the former Godavari Mini spot, serving Indian and Nepali food and potentially offering cooking classes and other activities, according to Eater.
Godavari Mini opened this past April and closed soon after, Boston Restaurant Talk reported. It replaced the decades-old India Palace in Union Square.
Masala Square will be located at 23 Union Square.
