River Bar Goes Blockbuster on July 4

WHAT: On July 4, River Bar at Assembly Row will look for inspiration from the silver screen to celebrate our nation’s independence. Throwing it back to 1996, River Bar will loop the original “Independence Day” sci-fi flick all day with subtitles on their indoor and outdoor HDTVs.

Additionally, the bar team will shake up three specially created cocktails ($10 each) to fit the day’s theme: Welcome to Earth with gin, lemon, egg white and blue curaço; Resurgence with mezcal, lime, orgeat, Domaine de Canton and blue curaço; and, Checkmate with rye, cognac, Campari, Bonal Gentiane Quina and Cocchi Rosa.

To make it a true double feature, the River Bar team suggests catching the “Independence Day” sequel on the big screen after at the neighboring AMC Assembly Row 12.
