The company will have over 500 employees working in the offices when they open in 2021.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Sneaker maker Puma announced Thursday it has leased space at Assembly Row for a new North American headquarters, according to the Boston Globe. The company has signed a lease on the majority of an upcoming office building that is expected to open in 2021.

The office will have about 550 employees, combining its design and marketing center currently housed in Boston with its sales, operations and corporate offices in Westford and adding 100 new workers, the Globe reported.

Plans for the 150,000-square-foot space include a sign that will be visible from I-93 and a possible outdoor basketball court. The company also said it will increase its community engagement in Boston.
