Somerville Accepting Vendors for 4th of July Fireworks

There will be up to six concession stands and vendors at the city's celebration June 29.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The City of Somerville is now accepting applications for vendors interested in participating in the Somerville Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration on Thursday, June 29. Up to six stations for concession stands and vendors are planned for the celebration.

The city permits items such as balloons, toys, food and beverages to be sold. No toy guns are allowed.

The fee for toy and novelty vendors is $50 and for food and drink vendors is $100. Food vendors must also obtain a temporary food permit from the city if they do not already have a mobile food vendor license for the City of Somerville.

The city will select the location of stands and judge proposals on the following criteria – current licensing, the type of concession or product being sold and the quality and price of the product. The city reserves the right to reject any proposal or cancel the search process at any time. Selected vendors will be notified by Monday, June 5. The rain date for the Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration is Thursday, July 6.
