Somerville Bar Guest Stars in Upcoming Film With The Rock, Kevin Hart

Filmmakers have been using the Somerville bar as location for Central Intelligence, an upcoming movie staring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart, according to a Boston Eater report.

The watering hole has been closed since Monday as a shooting location with filmmakers stripping the bar of its Boston-themed decor since the movie is actually set in Philadelphia, the report stated. On the Hill Tavern will reopen Thursday, July 2, the report added.
The movie is scheduled to open spring 2016.

The Rock and Hart haven’t been keeping just to the bar while they’ve been filming at On the Hill. Tasty Mo:Mo, a local restaurant that features dishes from Tibet and Nepal, cooked up 40 orders of dumplings for the stars and the crew this week, according to a Facebook post.
