SOMERVILLE, MA – All public schools and district offices in Somerville will remain closed on Friday, Jan. 5 due to the severity of Thursday's storm, Somerville Public Schools said. The storm is expected to make travel conditions extremely unsafe through the end of the week.
City libraries, however, will be open Friday. The central and east branches will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and west library will be open from 2-6 p.m.
Updates about athletic practices and events will be posted on the Somerville Public Schools website.
