Somerville Caribbean Restaurant Some 'Ting Nice Closes

But it may not be the last we hear of the team behind the Caribbean joint.

SOMERVILLE, MA – Caribbean restaurant Some 'Ting Nice off of McGrath Highway in Somerville quietly shut down last month. The eatery released a statement on its Facebook page Aug. 26, saying the team has been "honored to serve" its valued customers for the past four years.

The closure gained little exposure until it was reported by Eater Boston this week. Some 'Ting Nice, located at 561 McGrath Highway, first opened in 2013 and served a smattering of dishes from around the Caribbean.

Its menu included island staples such as jerk chicken, goat, ox and seafood, as well as salads, dumplings and meat and vegetable platters.

The team behind Some 'Ting Nice may not be hanging it up for good, though; the August Facebook post promised to provide "updates in the near future."
