
SOMERVILLE, MA – The city of Somerville will kick off its annual holiday celebrations this Thursday, Dec. 7 with a Christmas tree lighting and visit from Santa Claus. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on the City Hall Concourse.
The lighting will be followed by a meet and greet with Santa Claus in the Somerville High School Culinary Arts Bistro (atrium entrance). St. Nick will be escorted by the Somerville police and fire departments and will be available for photos following the tree lighting.
All children attending the ceremony will receive a gift from Santa. Live entertainment includes the Somerville High School band and chorus, the Somerville Community Chorus and El Sistema Somerville.
