Somerville Civic Day Welcoming Families
The city plans the festival to have activities for all ages to enjoy.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The Mayor’s office announced that the city’s Civic Day celebration will take place on Saturday, April 5.
The four-hour event will kick off at 12 p.m. at City Hall on 93 Highland Ave. City departments have planned numerous family-friendly activities such as photo opportunities on the Somerville Police motorcycle, learning about fire safety through an interactive “hazard house” with the Somerville Fire Department, selecting a pollinator plant plug for home gardens, and taking a tour of City Hall.
Refreshments will be offered, as well as musical entertainment from Somerville High School band ensembles.
