Somerville High Golf Team Has Brush With Hollywood (PHOTO)

The Highlanders ran into a famous face on the links this week.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The Somerville High School varsity golf team squared off against Cambridge Rindge and Latin Tuesday afternoon, pulling out a win over the Falcons. While at the Fresh Pond golf course, the Highlanders ran into a familiar face.

Matt Damon was in town promoting Sarah Mondale's 2016 documentary "Backpack Full of Cash," about the privatization of public education. Damon served as the film's narrator.

Wednesday night, Damon, Mondale, co-producer Vera Aronow, and Damon's mother, Nancy Carlsson-Paige, held a screening of "Backpack Full of Cash" at Wheelock College.
