Somerville Hosts 2017 Massachusetts Cheese Festival

Partial to provolone? Bananas over brie? Stop by Arts at the Armory this weekend for the fifth annual celebration of all things cheese.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The fifth annual Massachusetts Cheese Festival rolls into Arts at the Armory in Somerville this Saturday. This year's event highlights the heritage of Massachusetts as the birthplace of American artisanal cheese and will feature award-winning cheesemakers dishing out samples and sharing a bit about their products. Artisans and industry experts will offer workshops and demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

This year's festival includes two sessions, one at 11:30 a.m. and another at 2:30 p.m. Tickets purchased will be valid for only one session time. Classes and tasting sessions will be held throughout the day, and admission to classes is free with a festival ticket. Class seats will be available on a first come, first served basis.

The event will also include pairing partners to showcase beer, wine, craft ciders and other culinary products that complement each cheese sample.
