Somerville Labor Coalition To Host Candidate Night

The Somerville Labor Coalition will hold a candidate night on June 27 at 5:00 PM at the Somerville City Club, 20 Inner Belt Rd, Somerville.

All candidates in contested races for municipal office in Somerville who have filled-out and returned the coalition's candidate questionnaire are invited to attend and speak.

Somerville's union members will be given the opportunity to submit questions and fill out score cards rating each candidate.

If the participating SLC unions reach a consensus on a particular candidate, they will endorse as a coalition. Otherwise, each union is free to make its own decision regarding candidate endorsements.

Popular local TV talk show host Joe Lynch will moderate the evening's discussions. SCATV is expected to broadcast the forum at a later date.

A light buffet dinner will be provided.

Somerville Labor Coalition member unions unite nearly 600 workers in the city for the good jobs our community needs.
