Somerville Lands on Lonely Planet's 'Best in the U.S.' List

Travel website Lonely Planet released its list of areas in the country that don’t get as much love as they should. Appearing in a lineup that includes Philadelphia, Birmingham, Alabama and southern New Mexico, Somerville offers visitors a myriad of unique experiences they won’t be able to find anywhere else.

Lonely Planet urges travelers to pay a visit to the quirky museums, trendy craft breweries and hush-hush speakeasies in what it’s calling “Boston’s hippest ‘hood.”
