Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone Not Seeking Re-election
Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone, elected in 2003, said Monday afternoon he doesn't have any plans for what he will do when his term ends.

SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone will not seek re-election this year, he announced during the city's midterm address Monday afternoon. The mayor, who was elected in 2003, told The Boston Globe he has no plans for what he will do next.
“I’m not even thinking about what I may or may want to do. Politics and running for [another] office is science fiction to me,” Curtatone told the Globe. “Soon enough, I’ll have enough clarity in my mind to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.”
Curtatone told his constituents that he’ll continue to work for them until his last day on the job.
