Somerville Public Hearings: Airplane Noise, Straight Pride Parade
The city will take a look at airplane noise and Somerville police activity at the Boston Straight Pride Parade at hearings next week.
SOMERVILLE, MA — The city will hold public hearings next Wednesday, Sept. 18 on airplane noise and the involvement of the Somerville Police Department in the Straight Pride Parade in Boston.
The airplane noise meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium, 81 Highland Ave. It will be followed by the Straight Pride Parade hearing at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
Mayor Curtatone was criticized for his officers' presence at the Straight Pride Parade over Labor Day weekend. He said his officers were there as part of a Cops On Bikes For Regional Assistance mutual aid unit.

If you are unable to attend a hearing, you may send your comments by US mail or by email to the City Clerk, at 93 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA, 02143, or at cityclerk@somervillema.gov, but they must arrive no later than noon on the day of the hearing, in order to be sure they are conveyed to the City Council.
