Somerville Restaurant Closes After 20 Years
The decades-old Davis Square eatery left a note on the front door thanking customers for their business.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A Somerville restaurant closed recently after two decades in Davis Square. Diva Indian Bistro shuttered amid little fanfare, save for a note on the front door of its Elm Street space thanking customers for 20 years of business. Ownership group One World Cuisine, meanwhile, said it will move on to new ventures.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Diva," One World Cuisine wrote. "The people of Davis Square welcomed us with open arms some 20 years back, and for that we will be forever grateful."
The group's other restaurants in the Boston area will remain open, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. One World owns and operates Bukhara, Bao Nation, Mela, Dosa Factory Cambridge and Dosa Factory Boston.
