Somerville Restaurants Compete At Assembly Row Bar Stars

SOMERVILLE, MA – Somerville's Assembly Row will host its fourth annual Bar Stars competition this Thursday, July 13. Restaurants will duke it out from 6-8 p.m. to determine who has the best cocktail on The Row.

The best part? You're invited to taste them all and help name this year's champion. Each restaurant will have a booth with its featured drink and a small food pairing.

Restaurants will also compete in the Wicked Quick Fire Challenge, which consists of two "acts" of drink samples. According to the Somerville Journal, participants will receive a basket with three or four ingredients and must make a drink using at least two ingredients.

Bartenders must prepare two drinks in 10 minutes during each round. Four people will be eliminated in Act I and three will be eliminated in Act II.
