Somerville 'Riverfest' Expands To 3 Days: What To Know

The Assembly Row festival has tacked on another day this year to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

SOMERVILLE, MA – This year's "Riverfest" celebration at Assembly Row has been extended to three days in honor of the event's 10th anniversary. The festival will run from Sept. 8-10 and features a range of free events and activities for all ages, including live, local music; children's activities; local artisans; and fireworks over the Mystic River.

In addition to the festival, many of Assembly Row's outlet stores will offer sidewalk sales and special promotions for Riverfest attendees, and local nonprofits will set up community tables to provide information about their organizations.

"Riverfest is a celebration of all things Somerville, one of the annual events that really unifies our people and our city and our local businesses," Mayor Curtatone said in a press release. "It’s amazing to see how much it’s grown in 10 years. We’re thankful for Assembly Row’s partnership in bringing this celebration to life each year, and thrilled to see it expand to a full weekend of activities."
