Somerville Spring Cleanup Saturday Morning

It's time for a spring cleaning. The cleanup will be followed by a BBQ at Blessing of the Bay Boat House.

Community BBQ to be Held at Blessing of the Bay Boat House Following Cleanup, at Noon.

SOMERVILLE – Please join Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone for the annual Somerville Spring Clean-Up on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 10:00am to noon at locations throughout the City. The annual cleanup is sponsored by Comcast. A rain date has been set for Sunday, April 29th. Volunteers should meet a ward captain at 10:00am at the following locations:

WARD 1:  Cross Street Senior Center
Zero New Washington Street (OLRA) 

WARD 2:  Union Square Parking Lot @ SCAT Building
Albert F. Argenziano School @ Lincoln Park

WARD 3:  Somerville High School Concourse
Nunziato Field, Vinal Avenue

WARD 4:  Blessing of the Bay Boat House, Shore Drive

WARD 5:  Community Path @ Cedar St
Albion Street Park

WARD 6:  Davis Square, Statue Park 

WARD 7:  Dilboy Field, pool parking lot

Participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt, light snack, and a Mayor's Fitness Challenge Buck. This is also an opportunity for Mayor's Fitness Challenge participants to earn an extra point toward   

their individual and team total. 
   
Following the Clean-Up, all participants are invited to attend a community BBQ, which will be held at the Blessing of the Bay Boat House on Shore Drive from noon-2:00pm. The City of Somerville is currently accepting donations for the event, including cleaning supplies, rakes, gloves and garbage bags.
