Somerville Thunderstorm: Severe Weather Knocks Down Trees, Wires
Several Twitter users in Somerville shared images of the damage of Tuesday's quick thunderstorm.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A severe thunderstorm ripped through the area Tuesday evening, knocking down trees and wires in parts of East Somerville. Twitter users in the area posted photos and video of the aftermath of the storm, which was over almost as soon as it began.
Mystic Avenue was closed in both directions for a time due to a downed wire.
Residents tweeted images from Heath Street, Main Street, Linden Avenue and Highland Avenue. Much of the damage was reported in East Somerville, Cambridge, Medford and parts of Boston.
