Somerville Hotel To Unveil 2,000-Pound Paul Revere Statue

The city's newest monument will be introduced next week.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The city's newest monument, a 2,000-pound statue of Paul Revere, will be unveiled at a ceremony hosted by Holiday Inn Boston-Bunker Hill next week. The event will take place Monday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. and is open to the community.

The bronze statue at the corner of Washington Street and Inner Belt Road was designed to "pay tribute to Paul Revere's patriotic legacy and all that he accomplished in the state of Massachusetts," according to a statement from Holiday Inn.

The statue's spot will serve as the new home of a marker that tracks Paul Revere's ride on his way to Lexington and Concord.
