Somerville's On The Hill Tavern Gets New Name

SOMERVILLE, MA – On the Hill Tavern, the Magoun Square mainstay, is looking a little different these days. The watering hole has been rebranded as The Dark Horse Public House following a change in ownership, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

The site reported last year that Patrick Grace of The Littlest Bar, which closed in Boston's Financial District in 2015, was taking over ownership of On the Hill Tavern. A tweet from @somervilleguy and a Yelp post showing new signage seem to indicate the name has changed.

Yelp reviewers point out changes to the menu at the (now former) On the Hill Tavern, though it is unclear if that is due to the new management. So far, new ownership was the only major change announced.

The address for The Dark Horse Public House is 499 Broadway, Somerville, MA, 02145.
