Somerville's Medford Street Bridge Reopens
The bridge had been closed since last February in preparation for the Green Line Extension.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The Medford Street Bridge reopened to two-way vehicles and bicycle traffic between Pearl Street and Walnut Street Tuesday after more than a year and a half of work.
The bridge had been closed since last February as preparation began for the Green Line Extension project. Construction at the site has been completed, but additional work may be necessary at a later date, according to a city spokesperson.
Existing barricades next to the Homan's building on Medford Street will remain in place but will not prevent traffic from accessing the bridge.
