Somerville's Memorial Day Fireworks Canceled, Concert Moved

The "Memorial on the Mystic" display has been canceled due to inclement weather, but the city will still hold its concert Monday.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The following release was submitted by the City of Somerville.

Due to forecasts of inclement weather, Somerville’s Memorial on the Mystic Concert originally scheduled for Monday, May 29, at Baxter Park, has been moved indoors to the Somerville High School auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks have been cancelled. The indoor concert is free of charge.

The concert features a 90-minute concert by the Metropolitan Wind Symphony orchestra, and vocal ensemble N ‘Harmony, will honor veterans from all branches of the armed forces, along with special performances by the Somerville All-City Chorus and the Somerville High School Chorus.
