SPS Tree Lot Fundraiser Back at Foss Park

Trees and wreaths will be on sale starting Dec. 2.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The Somerville Public Schools' Tree Lot Fundraiser at Foss Park returns Dec. 2 for its 21st year.

The event is sponsored by the students and staff of Next Wave and Full Circle alternative schools to support student scholarships, trips and behavioral management programs. The lot is operated by teachers and student volunteers who dedicate their time during the evening and weekend hours.

There are more than 250 trees at the lot, raised by Wilson Farms in Lexington. Stop by Foss Park at the corner of Broadway and McGrath Highway, and pick up a tree or decorative wreath.

The lot operates between 4 and 8 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the weekends. The fundraiser ends Dec. 18.
