SWAT Team Arrests 2 After Alleged Bank Robbery in Davis Square

The robbery occurred Thursday morning at the Rockland Trust bank.

A SWAT team arrested two men at about 10:55 a.m. Thursday after an alleged robbery at the Rockland Trust bank in Davis Square, according to police.

Police arrested Edwin O’Grady, 55, of New Boston, New Hampshire, outside the bank at 399 Highland Ave. and another man, who police are working to identify.

O’Grady was charged with attempt to commit a crime of armed robbery, police said. He’ll be arraigned Friday in Somerville District Court.

Somerville Police worked with Massachusetts State Police and the FBI on the arrests.

According to Universal Hub, the SWAT team came out of an unmarked white van when the men exited the bank.
