Celebrating over 90 years of excellence in fashion education, The School of Fashion Design is the only educational institution in New England dedicated exclusively to the study of fashion design. SFD provides students with a solid foundation in apparel design and construction, and the skills required for a successful career in fashion. Our technical Certificate program is taught by experts in the field of fashion design. Students may take courses toward the Certificate or on a class-by-class basis to fill professional education interests. For creatives and textile arts enthusiasts, SFD offers workshops in various fiber arts such as weaving, lace making, embroidery, millinery, upcycling, and more. As an SFD student, you will join a diverse community of emerging designers. Our studios are filled with recent high school graduates, students from nearby colleges enriching their education with fashion, and working professionals embarking on a new career path. Tour guides will lead trolleys past the displays, share local historic trivia and tell stories about the families that decorate.Tours depart from the City Hall Concourse every 45 minutes, starting at 4:30 p.m. Refreshments, choral music and craft activities will be available inside City Hall. Trolley Tour tickets are still available at the Blue Cloud Gallery, 713 Broadway. Along the way, your guide will highlight lesser-known sites, helping you reimagine today’s landscape and discover the stories behind those marked and unmarked places people walk by everyday. Trolleys run every 2 hours Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th. Explore fun hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math challenges throughout Camp Cedar Hill from local program partners. Participants will use a map to choose their adventure and which topics to explore. Meet and chat with STEM professionals while digging deeper into topics you love or discovering new ones you may not have known about!
STEM Fest is the premier STEM event of the year at Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. This event is open to ALL Girl Scout levels with activities and experiments created for different ages.&nbsp;
The event fee includes a collectible fun patch and STEM-themed giveaways. Check back regularly for an updated list of partners and activities!
