Upcoming Green Line Extension Work: MassDOT
Work will be conducted in areas of Somerville and Medford starting the week of June 5.

SOMERVILLE, MA ā The Massachusetts Department of Transportation Friday announced upcoming environmental work pertaining to the Green Line Extension project. Work will begin the week of June 5 and last approximately two weeks.
The undertaking includes soil borings and sub-surface work to support the foundation of the project. Work will be completed along the proposed rail corridor in Somerville, Cambridge and Medford, which includes the Fitchburg Commuter Rail corridor to Prospect Street in Union Square and the Lowell Commuter Rail corridor to just beyond College Avenue in Medford.
