Victory Brewing Co.'s "Summer Love" Returns to "Summerville" at The Indo
Union Square bar to host exclusive seasonal launch party
On June 2, The Independent will welcome Victory Brewing Company to Somerville’s Union Square for a seasonal launch celebration. As part of their “Summerville” initiative, the Pennsylvania brewery first will tap the kegs to their annual batch of Summer Love at The Indo. Summer Love is described by Victory as having “the sublime, earthy familiarity of noble European hops backed up by fresh, clean German malts that ends with a surprising burst of lemony refreshment from fistfuls of American whole flower hops.”
Victory’s Boston sales representative Sophia Blount will be on-hand to talk shop with beer enthusiasts while giving attendees a glimpse into their current portfolio and what’s ahead in 2016. Additionally, The Indo also will serve up Victory’s refreshing Vital IPA and ice cream sandwiches with a custom-created flavor, lemon balm, from neighborhood staple, Gracie’s Ice Cream, designed to complement the profile of Summer Love.
Thursday, June 2, from 6-8pm. 75 Union Square, Somerville. Featured beers: $6.50; Ice cream sandwich: $5. Complimentary admission. Ages 21+ with proper ID.
