VIDEO: NFL Players Teach Football Fundamentals to Somerville Kids

A Detroit Lion, an Indianapolis Colt and a Chicago Bear teach football skills to kids at Dilboy Stadium.

Gosder Cherilus, a Somerville High School graduate and offensive tackle for the Detroit Lions, was at Wednesday to teach local kids some football fundamentals.

Josh Beekman, of the Chicago Bears, and Jamie Silva, of the Indianapolis Colts joined Cherilus at Dilboy.

Cherilus, who graduated from Somerville High School in 2003, runs the NFL skills camp through the Gosder Cherilus Foundation. This is the third year he's done so. Fellow Somerville High alum Wainwright Wint, class of 2002, played football at Harvard after high school and is president of the foundation. He was also on hand to teach skills.

The camp runs through Friday, July 15, and is for Somerville kids ages 7 to 14.
