VIDEO: Somerville Elementary Schoolers Do Mini Mannequin Challenge
Not to be outdone by Somerville High, second graders at Winter Hill got in on the latest craze.

SOMERVILLE, MA – The "Mannequin Challenge" first hit Somerville last month, and it's now spread from teens to elementary schoolers.
Second-grade students at Winter Hill Community Innovation School are the latest to get in on the challenge – a viral video trend where people are shown frozen in various poses – as part of their "focused attention" practice.
"Focused attention" is a facet of the school's Social Emotional curriculum, where students learn to ignore distractions and focus completely on what they are doing. Many "Mannequin Challenge" videos have featured hilarious, creative and sometimes acrobatic poses, which require feats of concentration.
