Start your day at 2016 Somerville Open Studios, April 30 – May 1, 12-6 pm, with a visit to a congenial, mid-sized artists building offering photography, painting, sculpture, fabric work, drawing, and more. Eleven artists open their studios at the Washington Street Studios and Gallery, 321 Washington St., between Beacon St. and Union Square. Ample free parking and an SOS Trolley Stop make Washington St. a great place to begin your exploration. Besides the wide variety of art, we offer snacks, refreshments, and fun conversations. Friday night, April 29, from 6 to 9 pm the gallery will be open with a group show that previews the photographers’ work.
