• South Hadley police update solicitor permit website following complaints (wwlp.com) — South Hadley police have tightened up how they handle door-to-door solicitors, updating their website with clear permit rules after complaints about aggressive, unpermitted sales. If someone comes to your door, you’re entitled to ask for their town-issued registration and can call the non-emergency line if they lack it. The bylaw sets fees, hours, and protections for homes posting “No Soliciting” signs. 
• Public Notice: Student Transportation of America, Inc., CWA-01-2026-0054 (epa.gov) — A federal Clean Water Act settlement notice lists a school bus facility at 2 Industrial Drive in South Hadley among several New England sites accused of unpermitted stormwater and wash-water discharges. The proposed $325,000 settlement with Student Transportation of America is open for public comment until September 4, 2026. Residents can submit feedback directly to EPA Region 1 in Boston.
