• Enjoy the public art project at the corner of Richards & Cordaville roads (mysouthborough.com) — There's a new burst of color at Richards and Cordaville roads, where Southborough Recreation and local artist Keara McHaffie turned a drab traffic control box into a "community garden" mural. More than 20 residents' flower drawings were incorporated, so a quick drive-by might reveal your own artwork brightening this busy corner of town. 
• Southborough is home to a new 'Miss Massachusetts' (mysouthborough.com) — Southborough's own Maggie Mercadente has been crowned the 2026 National American Miss Massachusetts and will spend the next year focused on community service across the state. The former Miss Southborough and current college student has racked up multiple pageant awards and now heads to Orlando this November to compete for the national title while continuing local volunteer work, including a doll drive for Toys for Tots.
