Tammy Scheffer Sextet at The Beehive

On Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 at 8:00PM the Tammy Scheffer Sextet will return to The Beehive’s stage for a not-to-be missed encore performance celebrating the release of Tammy Scheffer’s debut album “Wake Up, Fall Asleep.” Vocalist and composer Tammy Scheffer will be joined by Andrew Urbina (alto sax), Steve Pardo (tenor sax), Lefteris Kordis (piano), Brad Barrett (bass) and Ronen Itzik (drums) for what’s sure to be an eye-opening performance Boston won’t forget.'

The Tammy Scheffer Sextet’s contemporary, soulful and personal jazz performance comes from Scheffer’s expressive voice and unique approach to vocal improvisation. Saxophonist Greg Osby was in the studio on the day of the recording, and later commented: “The music was vibrant, personal and exceptional.”
