The Ellis Boston Antiques Show

The Ellis Antiques Show ran for 49 years in Boston before closing its doors in 2009.    The Boston Antiques Show ran for 21 years, before closing its doors in 2001 in the aftermath of 9/11.   Now, co-producers Tony Fusco and Robert Four do honor to both historical shows by launching The Ellis Boston Antiques Show October 20-23, 2011 at The Cyclorama, Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street in Boston's South End.  The show will feature 40 American and European exhibitors of the highest quality, drawn from both past Ellis and Boston Antiques Show exhibitors as well as many new additions.

The show opens with a Gala Preview on Thursday, October 20 to benefit Ellis Memorial, Boston's first settlement house.  Located in Boston's South End, just a two-minute walk from the Cyclorama, Ellis Memorial has been caring for children, disabled adults, and families who live and work in the South End and adjacent neighborhoods since 1885. One of the most important non-profit social service agencies in the city, Ellis Memorial is in the process of renovating two historic buildings on Berkeley Street to house their programming.

Fusco & Four produces two other successful shows each year at The Cyclorama: The Boston International Fine Art Show, which will have its 15th anniversary November 17-20, 2011 (www.FineArtBoston.com) and AD 20/21: Art & Design of the 20th & 21st Centuries, which includes the Boston Print Fair, with its fifth annual show in March 2012. (www.AD2021.com).

The Cyclorama provides the ideal venue for this exciting show.  A large circular rotunda and adjacent salons encourage visitors to both linger and wander.  The historic structure is located in the heart of the BCA complex, which boasts four theatres, a gallery, the Boston Ballet School, 50 artist studios and other facilities.  There are more than a dozen "hot" restaurants and nightspots within a five-minute walk, making it a focal point for cultural life in the city.
