• Former SRS student has vernal pool certified by state (masslive.com) — Southwick’s conservation lands just gained another state-certified vernal pool, bringing the town’s total to 17 and strengthening protections for sensitive amphibian habitat in Sofinowski Preserve and North Pond. Former Southwick Regional School student Isabella Proietti helped document the pool, working with MassWildlife’s Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program to meet strict biological and physical criteria.
