2 Stoneham Men Indicted in Separate Cases

The indictments were part of an announcement by the Middlesex DA's office of grand jury indictments in communities around the county.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office released a long list of grand jury indictments Friday, including those involving two Stoneham residents, according to a press release.

The residents were:

  • Matthew Lyons, 24: Lyons was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and armed and masked robbery in an Everett case.
  • Nicholas Smith, 26: Smith faced two indictments. He was charged with breaking and entering during the daytime, larceny of more than $250, receiving stolen property and possession of a Class B substance in a case in Reading. He also was charged with unarmed burglary, breaking and entering during the daytime, two counts of larceny of more than $250, attempt to commit a crime, malicious destruction of property and receiving stolen property of more than $250 for a case in Wakefield.
