Article 17 Defeated at Town Meeting

The Stoneham Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Community thanks all of you who came out on October 17 in support of our successful efforts to vote down Article 17. Because of your willingness to come forward and let your voice be heard, the town of Stoneham will not be citing non-medical marijuana retail outlets within our town. The message to our youth will remain consistent with the many prevention efforts undertaken by the Coalition and our many community partners.

While we are grateful for the successful vote, we know that our work is far from done. Too many in our community continue to be plagued by alcohol and drug addiction, in their own lives or in the lives of their loved ones and family members. The Coalition looks forward to continuing our work to support those seeking recovery and those seeking to support them, as well as our work to provide resources for those facing other mental health conditions.
