The Beatles Tribute Concert on Thursday

The 2014 season of the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert Series comes to a close this Thursday, Aug. 7 with the band Studio Two – The Beatles Tribute.

Brand-new to the series and only the second tribute band to perform in the Series, Studio Two pays tribute to the early Beatles years (pre-Sgt. Pepper) in both music and appearance. Featuring graduates from Berklee College of Music and Beatles devotees, Studio Two bandmates met in a “cellar full of noise” in a town slightly west of Liverpool (Milford, New Hampshire!) to pay homage to the greatest rock band of all time. Band members are experienced musicians of today’s generation dedicated to preserving the memory and fan culture of The Beatles generation. By recreating the Fab Four’s music, instruments, and onstage banter, Studio Two takes audiences back in time with The Beatles’ timeless music. In addition to the fab music, The Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham will be at the concert as the nonprofit sponsor of the night. In addition, as an extra treat, Stoneham’s Hago Harrington’s will be presenting a mini golf setup at the Concert on the Common!

Each night of the Concert Series this year the Stoneham Theatre generously gave away two tickets to a Season 14 performance and this Thursday is the last chance to enter! Raffle/coupon forms are in the programs so all who attend can enter to win.

The Concert Committee is already looking forward to planning the 2015 season!

Thursday’s concert will begin at 7 p.m. and will end at dusk. The concerts will take place on the Town Common, but in the event of rain will be moved indoors to the Town Hall.
