FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

• Candy Bingo at the Library
  
  • Where/When: , 431 Main St., Stoneham on Feb. 24 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. 
  • Why go: It's fun for the whole family and kids not only get sweet treats but also a variety of prizes.
  • Pricing: Free.

• Animal Numbers
  
  • Where/When: Stone Zoo, 149 Pond St., Stoneham on Feb. 24 from 10:30-11:15 a.m.
  • Why go: Children ages 3-4 with accompanying adults can attend this educational program to learn what animals live solo, in packs or other groupings.
  • Pricing: $8 for members, $10 non-members and families with more than one 3-4 year-old child pay $4 each.
• Look'n For a Rainbow Kids Concert with Ben Tousley
  
  • Where/When: , 326 Main St., Wakefield on Feb. 25 from 10:30 a.m. 
  • Why go: Tousley, a folk singer and storyteller, will sing songs about animals, making friends and other topics during the family-friendly event.
  • Pricing: Admission for adults is $8, $5 for children 3 and over and children under 3 get in for free.
• Public Skating
  
  • Where/When: , 101 Montvale Ave., Stoneham on Feb. 27 from 4-5:50 p.m.
  • Why go: Skating is a great way for families to enjoy a wintertime activity together.
  • Pricing: $4 per adult, $3 for children age 16 and younger. Note: Rentals are not available so you'll need to bring your own skates.
• Ben Rudnick and Friends Children's Concert
  
  • Where/When: , 62 Oakland Road, Reading on Feb. 25 at 10 a.m.
  • Why go: There will be plenty of music to listen to at this annual children's concert.
