Cards for Community Launched to Support Residents & Businesses
The First Congregational Church Food Panty is accepting donations to purchase gift cards from local businesses to give to families in need.

To support local businesses and residents feeling the impact of COVID-19, the First Church Stoneham Food Pantry, in partnership with StonehamBank, Stoneham Public Schools and the Stoneham Chamber developed the Cards for Community program. Cards for Community provides local restaurant gift cards to those in need within our community.
There are several ways you can support this effort. A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up can be accessed here. StonehamBank is accepting donations at their drive-through window made out to “Cards for Community” (deposit only). Also purchased and/or unused gift cards can be dropped off in the mail slot of the First Congregational Church (1 Church Street, Stoneham).
Your donations will support the most vulnerable in our community, as well as provide much needed income for local restaurants hit hard by COVID-19. Gift cards will be distributed in $25 increments to families who qualify for free/reduced school meals (570 Stoneham children) and residents eligible to use the Food Pantry or other similar town organizations.
