Colarusso Deserves Our Enthusiastic Support

A Letter to the Editor from Stoneham resident Nancy Howard:

Since being elected to the Stoneham Board of Selectmen, Caroline Colarusso has been proactive, accessible and a determined leader. As a Selectwoman, she holds office hours and puts in the hard work behind the scenes to effectively represent Stoneham residents. Residents shouldn’t have to know the right person to get a problem addressed by the town, and Caroline has made it her business to be an advocate for residents who have legitimate issues with the town. Colarusso stands up for the average resident as our representative and works hard for us.

Caroline has held forums on senior issues. She has worked to make Town Hall more consumer friendly and to reduce our inflated water rates and lower the trash fee. Caroline has also been proactive in reaching out to our children on substance abuse. She has brought long overdue oversight and accountability to town hall. She gives new meaning to the old saying that “you can’t fight city hall” in that she takes on the establishment for the average citizen. She is not intimidated by the “good old boys”. Gone are the bad old days when residents would call a department for a request and remain ignored for years; Caroline changed that.

Let’s re-elect Caroline Colarusso. She has put her strenuous efforts to work for all of us - not just the insiders and deserves our enthusiastic support.
