Counting Down Hours Until Stoneham Election Day

With four contested races and a ballot question, there's plenty to think about before Tuesday.

(Bob Holmes)

With just hours to go before Tuesday's election, you've probably already made up your mind who you're going to vote for. Or have you?

With races for Select Board, School Committee, Housing Authority, and the Board of Assessors, there are plenty of decisions awaiting voters on the Stoneham ballot. There's also plenty of information out there.

It starts with the Select Board where four candidates are running for two spots. George Seibold is running for re-election along with Heidi Bilbo, Jay Bromander, and Bobby Verner. If you haven't decided yet, there's plenty of info out there. Bilbo is on Facebook, as is Bromander and Verner. You won't find Seibold on social media but here's a guess you don't need it.

Two are running for one seat on the Board of Assessors with Eric Josephson facing Mike Rotondi. The winner gets a three-year term.

In uncontested races, Maria Sagarino is running for re-election as Town Clerk, Kevin Dolan is running for re-election to the Planning Board, Jeanne Craigie is running for re-election as moderator, Teresa Dean is running for re-election to the Board of Health, and Patricia DiPietro and Susan Waldman Fixman are running for re-election to the Board of Library Trustees.

If that wasn't enough there's another question awaiting you regarding liquor licenses. A yes vote will authorize the Select Board to grant on premises licenses with a lesser seating capacity of 35. A no vote will continue the current practice of only granting licenses to premises with a minimum seating capacity of 50.

Polls are open between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Town Hall.
