“Representative Day has a long track record of advocating to curb sprawl and increase renewable energy,” said ELM Action Fund President Elizabeth Henry. “He's exactly the kind of leader we need to keep in the State House.”

Representative Day has been a strong advocate for environmental issues throughout his two terms in the Legislature. He understands that protecting our planet and working to combat climate change are of the utmost importance. This session, he was the primary sponsor of legislation to increase access to recycling in the Commonwealth and to require the Energy Facilities Siting Board to prioritize environmental impact when considering new energy infrastructure projects. He is a strong supporter of the Environmental Bond Bill, a $2 billion effort to finance projects to fight climate change and preserve our natural resources and environment. His advocacy resulted in the authorization of $1 million to dredge and protect Winter Pond in the town of Winchester and $1 million to restore and protect the natural resources in the Middlesex Fells Reservation.
