Disrespecting Older Citizens in our Community as 'Dust'of the Past'

I enjoy the columns written on 'Patch' as to ideas, worthy events which aid our citizens and more.

However, lately I am reading words as ' It is time to put the 'Past ' into 'Dust' and 'Revitalize' our community with NEW BLOOD'.

I do not know where we are getting younger people as this to write such disrespectful garbage as that. That Dust being written about has more 'ideas', Experience, trials, and success than most people under 35 haven't even seen yet. 

Many of us came here and are still here contributing, writing, changing. and even running for elective office; and the questions of some of these so called 'younger' people taking it upon themselves in their own columns or someone elses to even put their long noses into other's lives like 'Where was so and so last night' ?....It may be none of your damn business...That is where ! Our families get older as we do and emergencies arise where we cannot make every meeting which is so urgent in your new fun world. 

Many of us had 'meetings' plenty of them overseas. Where were you ? We were Selectmen, we helped build this town and make its laws large and small...Two 'Pieces of Dust' namely Frank Pignone and Paul Means wrote the Public Drinking Law, Had businesses and employed young people , supported and helped raise the Boys and Girls Clubs... and so much more.  We still even in our late 60's and early 70's still work out and swim a mile or so. Heck, we even cut the grass without a major health event. Imagine that ?.....

A young lady at Town Meeting on the Town Finance Board looked ahead begrudgingly at 'being 70' someday.  I have many ideas on how to change her attitude towards that view and in a hurry ! Insults ! 

We didn't live a whole life to create Snobs...or make us feel we are in your way.  

We are not 'dust'.. We are 'men' and 'women'  with energy, education, degreed, experienced, and would enjoy knowing we are respected and not spend our time disciplining spoiled brats who look in the mirror and see 'Royalty' where it does not exist. And if so, there are many and able Medical Professionals over 60 who can aid you with such.  

Also , if you would  , there is a Presidential Election coming in 2016 and there is a lady who was in the 'Old Dust' era who may be the leader of the Free World ! A print of her 'Dusty' husband is enclosed. 

So, if you would, attitudes and all, perhaps you can make us all over 40 or so , comfortable in sitting in the same restaurant with your cute little misplaced 'attitude'.!
