East Boston Man Went on Holiday B&E Spree of Vehicles: Cops
Mayco Martinez-Rivaz, 23, was charged with six counts of breaking and entering at nighttime to commit a felony.

An East Boston man was accused over the holiday weekend of going on a B&E spree that targeted motor vehicles, according to a Stoneham police report.
Mayco Martinez-Rivaz, 23, was arrested and charged with:
- six counts of breaking and entering at nighttime to commit a felony
- receiving stolen property of more than $250
- receiving stolen property of less than $250
- resisting arrest
- disorderly conduct
- possession of burglarious tools
Police apprehended Martinez-Rivaz after a woman reported seeing two people running from her driveway toward Isabella Street and driving off in a black sedan at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday, July 4, the report stated. The woman followed the men in her own car, and police began searching for the subjects in the woods by Isabella Street, the report added.

After an hourlong search with the help of K9 units and Wakefield police, Martinez-Rivaz was caught in the woods along Spring Street, the report stated.
During the search, police found two ransacked vehicles with their glove boxes and center consoles opened on Isabella Street, a broken-into van on Christopher Street and another abandoned vehicle on Walsh Avenue, the report stated. The suspects’ alleged vehicle, which had been reported stolen, also was located, and burglary tools were found in it, the report added.

Martinez-Rivaz is being held on $10,000.
